Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating in San Diego

A ceramic coating bonds to your car's paint and forms a hard, glossy layer that sheds water, dirt and grime. It makes the car easier to wash, keeps the shine deeper for longer and protects the finish from UV, bird droppings and tree sap.

We don't just wipe on a coating. Every coating job starts with decontamination and paint correction, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Get the paint right first, and the coating keeps it that way for years.

Why Coat Your Car

A coating won't stop a rock chip, but it changes how the car looks and how easy it is to keep that way.

Hydrophobic. Water beads and sheets off, taking dirt with it

Deeper gloss. Adds clarity and shine that wax can't match

UV protection. Helps prevent fading and oxidation from the sun

Chemical resistance. Stands up to bird droppings, tree sap and bug splatter

Easier washing. Grime releases with a gentle hand wash, no harsh scrubbing

Our Coating Process

Most of the work happens before the coating goes on.

Wash and Decontaminate

A full wash, iron removal and clay bar strip contamination from the paint and wheels.

Paint Correction

Machine polishing lifts swirls and light defects so the coating seals in a clean finish.

Coat

Coating is applied panel by panel under controlled lighting, then leveled by hand.

Cure and Inspect

The coating cures before we inspect under shop lights and hand the car back with aftercare tips.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

What to know before you coat.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

It depends on the coating you choose, from multi-year ceramic coatings to longer-lasting graphene options. Regular hand washing helps any coating last its full life.

Does ceramic coating prevent rock chips?

No. A coating adds gloss and chemical resistance but is too thin to stop a rock chip. For impact protection, pair it with paint protection film.

Do I need paint correction first?

In almost every case, yes. A coating locks in the condition of the paint, so we remove swirls and defects first to get the best finish under it.

Can you coat over PPF or a wrap?

Yes. We use coatings designed for film, which add gloss and make the film easier to keep clean.

How do I wash a coated car?

Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and a soft mitt, and skip brush car washes. The coating does most of the work, so dirt releases easily.

How much does ceramic coating cost?

Price depends on the vehicle size, paint condition and the coating level you choose. Send us a few photos for a free written estimate.
